About
Stormlantern is the company of Dirk Louwers. He has been the one who writes the code (software engineer), the one who decides how the code should be written (tech lead), the one who makes sure everyone else can write theirs (Scrum Master), and the one who explains to the business when it will be done (delivery manager). He still prefers the first one.
His soft spot is systems where a thousand things happen at once and none of them may get lost: concurrent and reactive software, the plumbing behind payments.
The name has been his for close to twenty years; since 2026 it is also the home of his open-source tools.
